The Department of Civics & Ethical Studies was launched in 2016 G.C. (2008 E.C.), admitting forty students and ten active staff. Currently, the department has Twenty-Four staff (one Associate Professor, two Assistant Professors, Three Ph.D. candidates, and fifteen Lecturers) with 581 undergraduate students in all programs (359 summer, 155 extension, and 41 regular students in all batches). The department also commenced the Masters Program in 2020 G.C. (2012 E.C.) with specialization in Peace and Conflict Studies with thirty students in regular and extension programs. Now, the program has more than sixty regular and extension graduate students.
Since 2008, the department has been engaging in teaching and graduating skilled, knowledgeable, and competent students in the field, conducting research, and engaging in community service, hence contributing to the country's development. The department is also intending to open new undergraduate and graduate programs in the coming years.
The department, together with the university, is committed and keen to realize the vision and mission of the university by employing various mechanisms.
